It's a small hole in the wall attached next to a Shell gas station. I mean it's really small. The seating is limited inside and outside. The wait is long and there aren't many people on staff. But the tacos were the best I've had in Georgia.

If you care about ambiance then this isn't your place. When you pull up you may hesitate from the appearance, but you won't regret it. Their tacos are small and cheap($0.99). I ate 4 tacos and ordered the sampler.  I may have hesitated when I first got here but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. There was a non stop line that kept forming and I could tell that all the people in line knew this place was legit.

CYLANTROS in Woodstock is another Venezuelan spot I like to stop by when i'm in the area. It is a smaller location but if you are near Kennesaw they do have another location there that opened up with a spacious inside. Cylantros is your typical Venezuelan stop for arepas, empanadas and tequenos. I think what surprises people is that their "Mexican" side of the menu (tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc) is very very good as well. My brother lives about 5 minutes away from here so every time I visit I make sure I take the long way home so I can get my monthly fix!! Stop by and order some empanadas to go and maybe an arepa and let me know what you think!!!
    Roli's Rating:
    1. Service: 6/10, The location is friendly but they get very busy so your food may take some time to come out at times which can get frustrating if you are in a hurry. This is an order over the counter and grab your own refill location
    2. Price: 10/10, I have to give CYLANTROS a 10 on price because most of their items are very affordable. Their empanadas are about $1.80 each and even if you buy an arepa it'll only set you back about $7-$8 depending on which one you get. They also have large tacos at $2 and small tacos at $.99 which are GREAT if you want a mix of flavors like 1 chicken taco, 1 steak taco, 1 pastor taco and chorizo taco because although the tortilla is "small" they don't cheap out on the quantity of the meat
    3. Location and Parking: 5/10, Can't give it more than a 5 because although the location is fine in Woodstock the parking can be horrible because it is shared with a gas station. The location inside only will fit 2 or 3 small groups so you'll have to eat outside if slightly busy.... but no one wants to sit outside in this heat. I suggest you call ahead and order for pick up!!
    4. Cleanliness: 6/10, The place is small and tight so it may be tough for the crew to keep everything clean when the next person is there waiting for someone to leave their table
    5. Health Rating: B (84)
    6. Roli Overall Rating: 6/10

Really disappointing experience. I would be incredibly wary if you decide to grab a to-go order here.

I normally don't come to Cylantros because it is out of the way for me. But whenever I'm working in the Woodstock area I always make sure to stop by Cylantros because I love the food here.

Cylantros is a Venezuelan hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is connected to the shell gas station. The interior is incredibly tiny with two or three small tables and a side bar with some stools. There is some seating outside but I don't recommend bringing a large group in here.

Their menu consists of arepas, tacos, and other Venezuelan and Mexican entrees. Almost everything on the menu is under $10. I have not tried their arepas, but I have tried their tacos and their empanadas. Their empanadas are a little oily and definitely not healthy - but I don't care because they are super delicious and usually fried to perfection. They serve beef, chicken, beef & Cheese, or cheese empanadas. It comes with two types of creamy dipping sauces. I have tried their fish and steak tacos as well, both of which are delicious.

Despite my previous positive experiences though my most recent experience kind of ruined Cylantros for me. It put such a damper on my previous experiences.

I came in around 7PM. They were pretty busy but I've seen them have similar crowds before, so I figured there would be no issue. Most people were placing dine-in orders. I placed an order for two beef & cheese empanadas to-go. I normally don't mind waiting but the wait time was awful. It took 45 minutes for me to receive an order for just two empanadas. Not only that but they were serving empanadas to a lot of the dine-in customers. I'm not sure about their system in frying the empanadas but whatever it was it wasn't efficient.

Then as I bit into an empanada on the ride home I found that it wasn't beef and cheese. It was just beef which is not what I wanted. It tasted really plain to me and I missed the cheese that is supposed to come along with it.

Lastly, as I bit further into my empanada I found that the inside was ice cold! So not only did it take 45 minutes for them to have the order ready, but they got my order wrong and they didn't fry the empanada long enough either. It tasted so disgusting I couldn't finish my empanada. My other empanada was also just beef and ice cold.

They were probably just having a bad day because it was busy. But it's just really upsetting to have such major mistakes on an order. I waited 45 minutes for a simple order of two empanadas, only for them to get it wrong and not cook it properly. My entire order went in the trash and I was too far away to turn around and get my money back.

I don't know how soon I'll be coming back, I'm hesitant to do so and I fear that the same mistakes will happen again. It sounds obnoxious but if you ever place a to-go order, be careful and maybe take a few bites out of it before you leave just to make sure everything is correct.

Placing a to-go order shouldn't be a risk on the customer's part, but when it's at Cylantros I'm afraid it is.

I can't seem to say enough good things about this place and judging by how tight my pants have been fitting-I need to stop eating here for a while!

As you know the place is located next to the Shell Gas Station and the parking is...impossible...but this hasn't caused the stamped of hungry people from forming lines out onto the streets.

Besides the consistency and the generous portions...there is their dirty cheap prices...you can't beat this place for good cheap eats!

Try this place now! You won't regret it.  I stopped in right when they opened in hopes of a quick turnaround since I had my daughter with me.  My order took about 10 minutes and I was 2nd in line.  They make everything fresh to order so I didn't mind the wait once I tried the food.
I had a shredded beef empanada and the Pabellon arepa. Both came with an amazing cilantro sauce.  I could drink that sauce!  The empanada was light and tasty.  The beef was good and the dough was thin and crispy.
The arepa was SO delicious!  The pabellon includes shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantain and cheese.  The plantain gives this sandwich just the right amount of sweetness.
I will definitely be back as there are lots of items on the menu that I want to try.
